Between the mountains & the sea
A journey into a unique Italian food tradition and the landscape which has shaped it
A unique Italian culinary and cultural adventure
Cooking with a local chef and learning the secrets of some traditional Abruzzese recipes; shopping in the fantastic Penne markets, a seafood lunch on a trabocco (an ancient fishing platform on stilts), walking in the hills (mountains?) with a shepherd, a foraging trip, and wonderful aperitivos enjoyed as the sun sets over the magical San Giorgio olive groves and mountains beyond.
Along the way, you’ll sample outstanding wines, olive oils, and cheeses – all in the company of your host and two professional, passionate chef/teachers, who have fallen in love with this remarkable, and very different, corner of Italy.
